The old server room is the next to go. We have already moved the phone system and now its time for the last of the switches and racks to go to the new room upstairs.

Lots of big changes at the start of the project

This is our catchphrase for next few weeks!

The old service check in area, waiting room and cashier department is almost completely dismantled today. Here are a few shots showing how fast the de-construction is happening.

The first steps toward the new dealership...

Before we can really start construction, first comes de-construction. Its shocking how empty parts of the dealership look without our customers, employees and furniture!

This morning the service area was completely emptied out.

This area was our customer service lounge and  parts display area. Our parts department is still open in this location.

This area shows the old cashier booth and parts counter.

Here are a couple of shots of the almost completely emptied out service advisor area. There used to be all of the counters running along the darker tiles.

By early afternoon they had started the dismantling.

Sparks Toyota Scion Has Started Construction!

Hello and welcome to Sparks Toyota's Construction Blog --- a quick way for our customers to see the progress on our new dealership.

Construction has started.....

Here is a view of our current dealership and it will be turned into the look you see at the top of the page. We are growing up, back, front and out from both sides.

To give you some perspective. Our current dealership will fit between the two arrows shown below.

These two photos show basically where the front of the building will be -- the fence line is close to where the showroom will be expanded.

The first steps will involve moving our service lanes and service area to the opposite side of our current building temporarily while the new service area is built out. One of the nicest parts of the new design will be a drive in greeting area, enhanced customer comfort area and a streamlined check in/check out process.

 

For the next several weeks service will be based in a modular unit. We have set it up with the same conveniences we had in the main building -- with cable television, ample seating, magazine selections, and of course all of the business aspects of our service

department.
